There are many inclusive resources available for Aging Adults , including:
- SAGE (Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders): SAGE is the world’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ older adults. They provide advocacy, education, and support services to LGBTQ seniors.
- POCAAN (People of Color Against AIDS Network): POCAAN is a multicultural, multi-social service agency that addresses disparities in marginalized communities in Seattle and greater King County by offering a wealth of health services and community programs.
- AARTH (African American Reach & Teach Health): AAARTH exists to address health disparities and inequities in healthcare services for people of African descent. We are a nonprofit organization that: creates and sustains partnerships to promote healthy outcomes educates and empowers healthcare professionals, communities, and individuals to eliminate health disparities and achieve health equity
- Aging Wisdom: Planning for the future and adapting to unexpected health or memory changes gives you and your family a lot to think about.
- ADS (Aging & Disability Services): ADS Aging and Disability Services (ADS) plans, coordinates, and advocates for a comprehensive service delivery system for older people, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers in Seattle and King County.
- PFLAG (formerly Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays): PFLAG is a national organization that provides support, education, and advocacy for LGBTQ people and their families, including seniors.
- The Central aka CASC (Central Area Senior Center) The Central Central Area Senior Center (CASC) is a program of Senior Services. Our mission is to promote the well-being of older adults through a network of community connections and services.
- The Alzheimer’s Association’s LGBTQ Resources: The Alzheimer’s Association provides resources and support for LGBTQ individuals and their families dealing with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
